My name is Marcy Melville and I am the owner/founder of Wildflower Events. I was born and raised in San Diego, though I lived briefly in Oregon while I got my BA in theater management from the University of Portland. I loved theater deeply, but I soon realized I had a better time planning the theater fundraising events than I actually did on the job! Many of the aspects of event management are very similar to theater, but it gave me a chance to focus on another passion of mine- fundraising for nonprofits.


My heart has always been with my charity work, whether it was an autism awareness group or Mexico-based dog rescue (where I met the love of my life: my dog Kacey)! I knew I could use my skills to help them with their events and do what I loved in the process, so I decided to open my event planning business in 2018. 

Since then, life has been crazy! Between working my day job, interning with a wedding planning company, and studying hard for classes at the SDSU Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning program, there has been little time to spare. Nonetheless, Wildflower Events officially launched on November 16th! I'm so grateful for everyone who helped me along the way- this is truly my dream.
